Terms of sale
These terms cover what you are buying and who you are buying it from.
The seller of record is Melanie Borgese, a sole proprietor trading as Leo's Balls. Leo is twelve. He finds, cleans, grades and packs the balls, and he runs the business day to day. A parent is legally the merchant, holds the payment account, and is responsible for everything on this site. Payments are taken by that parent's account, not by a child.
What we sell is used golf balls. They have been played before. We grade them by condition, describe them honestly, and say what might be on them. Packs are mixed brands unless the product says otherwise, and we do not guarantee a specific brand, model or year in any pack. We make no claim that a used ball performs like a new one, and we do not refinish balls or sell them as refinished.
Balls sold as practice only are for practice. They are not represented as suitable for posting a score.
Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Any sales tax that applies is calculated at checkout and shown separately before you confirm. Your card is authorised and charged when you place the order.
An order is accepted when we take payment and send a receipt. If we cannot fulfil an order -- stock we thought we had, an address we cannot ship to -- we will tell you and refund you in full rather than substituting something you did not choose.
Tips are voluntary, are not a charitable donation, are not tax deductible, and earn no reward or gift. They are a gift to a child's business and nothing more.
Free merchandise earned through the rewards programme is subject to availability. If an item you have earned is out of stock, we will tell you at checkout rather than quietly leaving it out.
Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited. These terms are governed by the law of New Jersey.
